TMVP Memorial, Batticaloa

Memorial to Karuna Amman’s brother (Colonel Reggie) and 5 other cadre who were killed by the LTTE as punishment for breaking away from them. Karuna Amman formed the TMVP (Thamil Makkal Vidutalai Pulihal) and later joined the UPFA government which was then in power. This is probably why this memorial has not been destroyed.
